Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How Does Residential Subscription Service Work?

Residential service is super easy!

We bring you a clean container (Food Safe 5-gallon bucket) to place your food scraps in.  Based on your subscription level, place your bucket on your front porch and we will swap it with a fresh, clean bucket. You can place vegetables, meats, grains, and dairy scraps in the bucket. Comprehensive list of compostable materials on the bottom of this page.

For as low as $15/month, we'll compost your food waste.

How Much Does Residential Service Cost?

I Signed up for Residential Service, When do I get my Bucket?

Our residential routes run on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. You will get your first bucket on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday following your signup. A welcome email with all the need-to-know info will be sent to you upon confirmation. Please check your spam folder.

Really?!?!? I can include Meat and Dairy in my Compost Bucket?

Yes, really!  The stringent list of avoided items comes from the world of backyard composting. In our system, we have the equipment, size, training, and testing procedures required to handle these difficult materials. Please visit the bottom of this page for a comprehensive list of items that we accept in our system.

What about Poop?

No Poop!  We don't add any type of poop/manure to our compost. Please visit the bottom of this page for a comprehensive list of items that we accept in our system.

How Does Business Subscription Service Work?

Business Subscription Service is tailored to meet your specific needs.

Our affordable service offerings are based on details such as the type of materials recovered, the staff training required, and the limitations of space and finances.

With that said, the standard workflow is weekly service of a 48-gallon wheeled tote. These totes are commercial grade and made for organics.

We give you a clean container(s), you toss all your kitchen scraps in the container, and we swap it out with a fresh one once a week, or more frequently based on your needs.
